SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The San Francisco Bulls Professional Hockey Team, proud affiliate of the San Jose Sharks, announced today that Bob Weir from the legendary band, Grateful Dead, and Jeff Pehrson, both from the band, Furthur, will perform the National Anthem at the Bulls’ Home Opener on Friday, October 12.

“We are absolutely thrilled to have Bob Weir and Jeff Pehrson be a part of this special night in our team’s history,” said SF Bulls CEO Joe Wagoner. “We are a San Francisco team, and there’s nothing more representative of the area than Bob Weir, Jeff Pehrson and the legendary music they have produced. We couldn’t be more honored to have San Francisco legends kick off our inaugural season. The Cow Palace has as much history with musical performances as it does sporting events. Having Mr. Weir and Mr. Pehrson perform will be a great tie-in for the evening.”
